WHY.

WHY.

In our world awash with challenge and opportunity, there is an urgency to ‘build back better’ and design change that works and considers everyone, including those who have been left behind. There is no time for compromise. Lives and livelihoods are at stake.

Most change stalls, doesn’t realise it’s potential, or doesn’t happen at all. Why? Lack of engagement, shared purpose and alignment or consideration of the diversity of the humans and wider system drivers. Time and millions is invested in technology, infrastructure design and innovation and too little is invested in engaging the humans across the system, and fully considering the ecosystem which is what’s needed to find the biggest most fantastic potential and making it happen. Human engagement is not simply a set of ‘soft skills’ – it requires planning, design, analysis, a rich mix of technical expertise and creativity just like data and science. Working out what you can and should do and how, and taking people with you.

COVID-19 has shown us what is possible when lives are at stake, and also highlighted the inequalities and wider challenges that can’t be ignored. The good news is that by recognising and engaging with this, we can achieve the change in ways which are better for everyone, including our planet.

We can no longer put businesses, communities, the public and third sector into different boxes. There needs to be trust and partnership, with shared purpose and values. This is how we will imagine new and better ways of thriving for everyone.

This is why we do what we do!

"We find, the opportunity is always bigger than you think, or at least as big as you secretly hoped it could be. There is no time to lose. The time is now for leaders and organisations who need to build back better or reimagine their place in the world."
